Saturday – Even More Sick

The plan was to go for a 2-hour bike ride at MAF today, but I woke to a heaviness I haven’t felt in a long time. I knew I was sick, but not this sick!

Throughout the morning and into the early afternoon I endured the low-grade fever, or what I thought was a low-grade fever. My body felt warm and I was always thirsty. Despite all the drink, I could not sweat a drop, though I was able to pass some water.

After hours of suffering through bits of sleep all  morning, I relented and took a couple paracetamol. And vòila! my fever broke, I began to sweat profusely, and I felt immensely better. Should have taken the meds earlier and felt better all day.

The fever coupled with the whole body soreness from the massage the previous day made me think I had the flu. But as the fever broke, my aching back persisted. Must be bruised from clearing out the knots at my thoracic. Though I’m in pain now, it is completely worth it as I am able to sleep long hours now without waking up to intense back pain. Woo-hoo!
