Sunday, 10 January 2016 – Recovery

Day after the race in Myanmar, and my travel day home. Taking today to recover from the race, though my legs tell me that they are basically recovered already. Coach tells me to avoid booze and sugary carbs to reduce inflammation to aid recovery. No booze and avoided as much starchy carbs as the Myanmar diet allows. Breakfast was vermicilli in a lentil and turmeric broth with some fish. Excellent recovery food, I must say. Had some banana fritters with sticky rice, as well. Is this healthy enough? Nothing really “processed.”
