Wednesday, 13 January 2016 – Strength Test

Second part of strength test, this time more about leg strength and mobility after giving my legs some rest after the race on Saturday. I recovered already by Sunday, and definitely by Monday, though.

Squats to see how well my spine fare in the full squat position. My butt does wink, or curve downwards below the parallel after watching videos of myself — don’t know what that means, though.

Series of lunges to test my stability muscles, it seems. And hip flexibility, too.

Part 2 of the strength is seems more concerned about mobility around the core. Wall angles to see mobility of the rotator cuffs, wall sits to see strength and which muscle group (quads or glutes) needs conditioning. Hip stability hop test, and plank.

Question now: With all this strength testing, should I improve in all factors of strength and mobility, how does it translate to better performance in triathlon? Through efficiency of movement?

Took an extended walk to the school gym to get my 30 min of walking in for the day.
