Monday, 18 January 2016 – Strength Training 

2 sets:
5 wall angels
5ea. 4-way lunges- don’t let front knee cave, butt stays back and low on side lunging
10 ea. shoulder external rotation exercises with band – elbow bent and arm straight variations
5/5 groiners
10 scap pushups
half kneel T spine rotations with weight or KB


2 sets:
5/5 reverse lunge to warrior 3 pose
30″ latereal bounds
15 renegade rows – pushups with dumbbell rows. If no DBs, just pushups
30″ plank
10 OH deep squats torso upright, work into each squat and hang out there

Wow. Underestimated the energy required to complete this strength workout. At first glance, it looked too easy. But doing it, it wasn’t hard but it took effort to complete. Now I feel it in my legs. 
Only did push ups as my home dumbbells are round and it too extra effort just to keep stable on it. Also need to get lighter bands for home. Or just do this in the local gym.

Gonna invest in square or hexagonal dumbbells. The few renegade push ups I performed did wonders for the core.

Supposed to do a 45 min swim, too, but underestimated the strength training time. Pool closing, so no swim today. 

Need to get the workout plans earlier so I can plan the night before. That is, wake up early and strength train leaving me the early evening for my swim.
