1:30 of MAF Bike. My hip flexors were quite sore. Started the bike and it was quite difficult to get my HR up to MAF (140) without putting significant effort. Feeling a lot in hip flexors, but endured through it and pedaled at a comfortable 90+ cadence (from last bike session’s effort. Woo-hoo!) until the HR was at MAF.
I guess I was a bit tired as I had to give a bit of effort to keep going at MAF for 90 min.
Recovery walk was an excellent cooldown.
Today I have a birthday party to go to. I’m expecting to eat a lot, especially cake, but will try to keep as healthful as possible. But it brings to a point about my diet the past week. Coach had made me log my food on MyFitnessPal and commented that my high fat low carb diet may essentially becoming low calorie — a bane to training. So the log made me cognizant about what I ate and if I actually ate enough. I think the log did make me eat enough as I am not hungry much after work. And my energy levels at work all week has been excellent. So have I not been eating enough before thinking I can lose the weight that way, at the cost of training?
