Yesterday I had a Lunar New Year feast, so I stuffed myself full with plenty of food (kept it mainly low carb with plenty of protein and green leafy veggies) and wine. I have to make my rounds visiting family and handing out red packets of money, so today is not workout day. Perfect timing.
As for last week, what seemed at first to be quite a mellow week compared to previous years turns out to be harder than originally thought. Love the strength training as I felt the DOMS and feeling stronger. And RDL did a number on the stabilizing fibers in my calves which I promptly rolled out. And the sub MAF sessions are just easy enough to keep the body stimulated. Love it!
As for food, since using the log and hearing that LCHF can dangerously be low calorie, I’ve been eating more than usual. Helps with energy levels and sufficient recovery. But not helping in the race weight department.
Feeling my fitness improving, and I’m looking forward to the progression. Excited!
